Living Forward: Gail Blanke's Surprise Heart Disease Diagnosis Was 'Defining Moment' (VIDEO)

After 20 years with Avon Products, Gail Blanke successfully launched her own company, Gail Blanke's Lifedesigns, and was living out her dreams. She was physically fit, ate healthily and was an all-around optimistic person. So when she was suddenly diagnosed with two clogged arteries after falling short of breath on her way to work five years ago, it surprised everyone: she didn't fit the typical profile for a person with heart disease at all.

Gail's double-bypass surgery was a success, and she has since made it her mission to help other women prevent heart disease as a motivational speaker and author (her most recent book, "Throw Out Fifty Things" was published in 2010). "Sometimes it takes a crisis... for you to know who you are," says Gail, now 62 years old. Join us in this episode of Living Forward as we hear her inspiring story.
