Living Forward: Steve Silberberg On Fitpacking For Weight Loss

Twenty years into his career as a software contractor, Steve Silberberg ditched the corporate world for the great outdoors. The result was Fitpacking, a backpacking company he launched in 2005 that takes people on adventure vacations to help them lose weight while enjoying nature.

Silberberg, 51, hopes his trips not only get attendees in shape, but inspire them to pitch in to protect the wilderness as well.

"I just couldn't stand the pressure anymore," Silberberg says of his former career. "Yes, I feel doubts about how wise a decision this was... but I know it's the right path."
